Work from '10, Photoshop + Wacom. Will move this into the scrapbook soon but some people don't watch those, so, putting it here first.

An exaggeration of Katie's, aka `snowmask, hairdo. From reference pictures, shot by `zerocomplex I believe. Not a perfect likeness but as sort of a gestural sketch this works I think.


Title is a play on words of an old fire photo of mine Passion Pangs I, about artistic passion. Don't let Katie's love of fashionable hats and cute pandas fool you, she is an artist just as serious and passionate about her work as I am It was harder than I expected to paint decent fire in one layer, I was thinking it would be as easy as some of the other clouds or vapor I learned to paint but this is a bit tricky. Especially around the transition from hair to flame. Still, fun.
