Artist's Comments

The DD on this work today [June 15]was removed by my request. I do not think that this work was at a high enough level to deserved the honor, and so I did not feel comfortable accepting it. I thank our GM for being so accommodating and understanding of my wishes

Image Description:
Initials is a series of small pieces from my earlier/earliest photography. I think it's important to look back at the different ways of working and seeing we had in the past, to keep on course with our present work. Besides which it keeps us humble, and reminds us of when we might not have had the benefits of nice equipment or the real knowledge of subtly.

Winter's grip. You might miss it so I'll mention that there is a spider in the shot, who was lurking in the plant when I got there.

Eek, that spider looks scary! it made me scratch my skin! :S

Now, the photo... damn, I don't know how on earth this missed my sight the first time I browsed your gallery. And no comments!!? How on earth is this possible? :wtf:

:evileye: did you hid it till recently?

Anyway, as I was (trying to) saying, I love this photo! Apart from the scary spider (which I confess, I only noticed after reading the description), what most stroked my attention was the crispness of it all. The frozen moment - and in fact, the sense of hearing it freeze, doing a noise like: tzzzzzzz Z! But also the coloured plants underneath it, contrasting and adding to the power of the image, in my opinion. :aww:

and.. oh... do you see half a heart-shape in there too? :flirty: :eyes:

It's alive!! We don't get snow or ice here so this is very pretty for me! Melt this really good and we have water and we don't get that here, either! LOL! A fantastic shot all around! Excellent piece and congratulations on the DD! :D

Wow... I really love this! O_O It looks so magical and beautiful that it almost made me think it was a painting instead... it's like something so beautiful that you'd think it could only exist in the imagination. XD Wish I could've seen this in real life. ^^

And congrats on the DD, it was well-deserved =D

I love the contrast between the pale colours in the background and the more vibrant ones in the plants
