Initials is a series of small pieces from my earlier/earliest photography. I think it's important to look back at the different ways of working and seeing we had in the past, to keep on course with our present work. Besides which it keeps us humble, and reminds us of when we might not have had the benefits of nice equipment or the real knowledge of subtly. A series of seven photos of one tree. About how a virtue can really be a sin, and the misunderstanding of commandments, etc. If they where not Initials they would bare titles along the formula of "Torn skin of chastity", "battered hide of meekness", "blistered palms of zeal", and so on in that fashion. I use wood for human body analogue very often, in fact, almost all the time there is deadwood in my work that is it's role.

Formally the work should reach any viewer on sight, and the symbol should esoterically take meaning to the next level if they are read rightly. Forms and symbols are essentially similar, communication vehicles, but they work on different levels so I try to use both when I can. Reflections are consistently about memories, small plants are typically symbols for material life, etc, there are a lot I use often.
