T-shirt


I thought this design would make a pretty cool tshirt so I've submitted it to Threadless.com. :aww: Thought I would share this as wallpaper with you all. The sizes in the set are 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024 & 1920x1200.

Anémonie, as in sea anemone, with a spelling to suggest a name... Ideas of mermaids and sirens are so conflated these days that I don't feel very bad about painting a siren with a fish tail, instead of with wings like they really should be shown. Just a little bit bad, that the mermaid has absorbed a lot of negative traits that are attributed to them unfairly.

... I would like to stress that my intention was not to draw an erotic pinup, rather I wanted to layout my iteration of the archetypal siren symbol. I hope the care shown in the design and rendering speak to my good intentions... Beautiful pose reference generously provided by Marcus Ranum www.ranum.com ... Mixed media, digital painting and vector masking. I'll be posting a tutorial walking through of this very soon.

This is amazing. I love the reflecting light on her. You did really well with it. Also the ship reflection is quite creative. I need to get that creative spark going again. Bravo good sir, bravo.

love love loveeee this! I would maybe even make this a line drawing (or if you have it) and tattoo it! I would!
Love the colors and the random teal strands in her hair just to make something pop! The continuation of the ship is just great! All and all I LOVE it! :P

I'm glad you enjoy it so much :peace: Yah I have got separate line art, and spot color, versions. What feedback I've gotten on this from actual tattoo artists has been flattering, I bet they'd enjoy working on this.
